Spring Bay Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky Solera Muscat Cask 44% 700ml

This innovative single malt whisky transforms 4-6 year old single cask whisky into a marriage of much older whisky through extended aging in a Solera system. The four cask Solera is made up of four 500 litre American and French oak puncheons (2 x Chardonnay & 2 x Muscat). The extra time in these casks allows the liquid more time to rest as it spends months and even years taking on Chardonnay and premium Muscat characteristics. When the time is just right, the taps are opened to let the whisky gravity feed down to the next cask, making sure to always leave behind some of the liquid (up to half) to enhance the next batch with older, bolder whisky as it progresses through the Solera system.
